Job Description
Remote-first. We expect to transition to an Egypt office once Ledgers Egypt is set up (target: Jan 2027).
This role reports to the CEO.
You’ll own core finance operations (monthly close, reporting, planning support) and help establish lightweight controls and workflows.
You’ll collaborate with engineering and operations to ensure clean data flows and reliable reporting.
Responsibilities
- Own monthly close and reporting cadence (P&L, cash, KPIs)
- Maintain budgeting and forecasting models with leadership
- Build cash visibility: runway tracking, burn monitoring, and scenario views
- Coordinate vendor payments, invoicing, and basic AP/AR processes
- Support compliance/admin workflows (contracts, subscriptions, record keeping)
- Create simple internal controls and documentation as the company scales
Requirements
- 5+ years in finance/accounting (startup experience is a plus)
- Strong Excel/Sheets modeling skills and financial reporting discipline
- Comfortable operating end-to-end without large team support
- Clear communication and an ownership mindset
Nice to have
- Experience with SaaS metrics (MRR, churn, CAC, LTV)
- Familiarity with accounting software and streamlined close processes
- Experience working with founders/leadership teams
